"Gay" is being used as a term for "stupid" and "retarded" nowadays. At my school, it is also the most common synonym for stupid and retarded. There are even some commercials on TV speaking on the word, telling people to stop using it as a term meaning stupid.

Instead of wondering why some call out at 'homosexual stereotypes'... wouldn't a better question be 'Why is homosexuality frowned upon at all in the middle/high-school environment?'
It seems ridiculous... but if 'bad' things happen... they are often declared 'gay'. But why is it so?
That answer is simple: Religion.
And let's face it, religion ain't disappearin' anytime soon...

You know how I know you're gay? (No, it isn't because I am gay and can recognize other gay people) Because you posted up a thread where you openly worry about being called gay!!!!1!! Also, you may not realize this, but your posts actually have a lisp built into them.

I'm not gay. I'm just sick of people calling me gay. Do you want me to tell you what I had to deal with from fourth grade to seventh?
It's obviously implanted into my brain that if I'm called gay, it is bad.
Children are horrible.
Also, I dunno what a "lisp" is.

lol, lisp is kinda like that gay accent that gay men talk with. But I think you're gay if you're so irritated by people calling you that, lol, naw, but it would get annoying quickly. My friends and I mess around calling eachother "faggot", "gay", and "fag" very oftenly, but as nothing more than just playing around. Only if they persist on it, it becomes irksome.
You're tho thilly!

Yeah, but it wasn't friends who joked around with me. It was retarded bastards who I now want to go visit and punch their goddamn faces... Yes, they screwed me up that much.

Tails, I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you really need to embrace your homosexuality, not fight it.

I.E. lisp, would be pronounced "lithp", fellas would be pronounced "fellath". Inotherwords, "S" would be pronounced as "TH".
As long as your hands don't dangle from the ends of your arms, and you don't pronounce "S" as "TH", you have nothing to worry about.

I already considered myself bisexual about a few weeks ago (though I also said I'd never date a guy, even if I'm attracted to one). But still, I don't like how we stereotype them. So my rant/lecture/whateverthehellyouwannacallit still remains how I first typed it.

That's stereotyping again... :S
Not all gay/bi men talk in lisp, nor do they all dangle their hands from the ends of their arms. There's this straight guy in my school (he's such a fucking bastard, though I call him a bitch because he's too feminine to be a bastard) and he talks in a lisp. He's a follow-everything-in-the-Bible Christian and is entirely against homosexuality, yet he talks in a lisp and stereotyped "gay" voice.
