True, but even Pakistan and Afghanistan aren't in the Middle East. It's more of a cultural use than a geographic use in everyday language.

I have recently pointed to these matters to the Christians in my community and those on social media so they stop crying persecution when they're told to take their nativity scenes and crosses down for being unconstitutionally placed on public property. Works wonders.
It's truly a shame people are being persecuted and dying over religion, there's no need since it's all about as true as Harry Potter.

That being said, without religion there would have been and would be significantly less violence in the world.
