Embarrassingly, just now getting around to reading 50 Shades of Grey.

I don't believe I'll be finishing it though, it's quite bad.

I got 'Ready Player One' by Ernest Cline from a friend, and I started reading it yesterday. I like it so far, but I have only gotten to the first chapter.
Mom got me Alice Munro's 'Dance of the Happy Shades', though unfortunately in Swedish. It seems to be a good translation, nevertheless.

Reading Persian Fire by Tom Holland.

Very good so far, learnt that Darius the king of Persia was the first guy to come up with the idea of holy war and the promise of heaven if you fight for him and the threat of hell if you fight against him.

Because I'm writing a mystery novel, I'm going back through the Kinsey Millhone (alphabet) Series by Sue Grafton, which I read most of as a kid. They're a good influence on me because they're an easy read and well-structured (I tend to make my writing more complicated than it needs to be). I'm on "E is for Evidence".
