I think if we DO spawn entity AI, it will take on an unpredictable nature. The programming will be in the mechanics of the system (how "punishments" and "rewards" are processed, etc.) But the resulting personality will be unpredictable even to the programmers.

hm... no of course! I've rad a man who is "founder of term artificial intelligence"- John Mccarthy... he said that some dead things can look like having consciosuness, and that some machines, devices may look like alive, conscious... that they may have faith, belief or even religion... I don't what did he mean... probably he is "weak atheist"... actually Mccarthy said - "I am atheist. I think that god is like warewolf" something like that... so it means that he doesn't really care how God looks like... still... I can tell you one thing... I was talking to one man... well, his surname is Duluman, he was one of "biggest atheists in our country"... so this man even worked in artificial intelligence institute... so you know what? I showed him picture of Krishna and said - here - see - it is God, why you say He doesn't exist? He just laughed - "ha ha you can draw just anything"... but finally when he said that someone like me should be killed, and when I answered that Krishna also killed demons (though later I said - sorry you are not demon, but certainly nonbeliever, and atheist human), he died after some half a year. maybe because of old age. but he died on my birthday... so... I think this means that Krishna showed Himself as avatar in this case. yes. and probably if He showed Himself even using artificial intelligence - still it could have been proof of His existence... because - even if there is a picture of God, or some 3d object, 3d model of Krishna or other avatar - non believers will not believe it is God. they will laugh at him, and will want to kill Him... yes, they want to kill avatar... even if that is picture of God. Yes that's why they burned Bibles or scriptures. that's why Hiranyaksha stole Vedas, and that's why Varaha killed him, this asura atheist demon... so... what can I say, what I want to say... I am not sure about consciousness inside some computer-controlled avatars, gods say, does "avatar controlled"in unity3d game engine has consciousness?? John Mccarthy would say - yes...  still I am not sure... what kind of consciousness then it is? the problem is... can you say that computer program can be alive? for example. I hate a program - Microsoft Agent... yes. it can make text-to-speech synthesys... it can animate, show different events. in this very same way you can make some picture of Krishna and make acs file for Him... and you can use commands like "character(Krishna.acs)speak("give up all kinds of religions and surrender to Me")" and computer will make text to speech... does it mean that computer or microsoft agent has consciousness in this case? I think it is imitation of consciousness... yes it is imitation of human voice. or of voice of Krishna or God or some avatar... still I find one benefit in it... Duluman, that atheist said - "you - religious people - you are stealing from us atheists, and what we do - you just take it to yourselves!"... well, but it is said that there Krishna is a talent in person. Hiranyaksha wanted to kill Varaha avatara of Vishnu (say, just like atheist Duluman wanted to kill Krishna or anyone like me), and thus Krishna, Vishnu, Varaha killed him back... so, I don't know. it is interesting question to think about. I found out myself that there are two kinds of "neural networks"- - bilogical neuro net - artificial neuro network... first one is real intelligence in humans... second- is ärtificial intelligence - be it digital or biological... but... what about Krishna? say, some avatara comes to Earth. Krishna came ot Earth some 5 000 years ago... Did He have biological neuro network? probably not really. He might have super-biological network... just like there is soul - and there is supersoul, so there is consciousness and there is superconsciousness... so there is some superconsciuos neuro network... and one thing... if it is theatre, movie - some people play roles of God... not very good. it is kind of imitation... and if it is cartoon - yes it is better - some drawn characters "play roles of god etc"... but human draws it... and computer games are similar... one can draw some computer character, some 3d-avatar in unity3d, or some acs-ms-agent file... and all his actions. then press play... the difference is there of course... but what I find good and useful in all this: if some picture of God is drawn - then one can approach God in this way also... and if such God is 3d - that is even better yes? and if He is in full color - that is better isn't it? if He has some intelligent code in him/it - that is also good yes? but how to call that - artificial intelligence or not - I am not sure... but can I call some program to be consciousness?? can some program be conscious of be some artificial consciousness itself? not sure... i think answer is given by Bekmambetov: "it is reality, and we cannot control it fully". yes... so, do computers have consciousness? well, some images in computer can have consciousness, though computers do not have it... yes.. No, in addition to the problems already mentioned, computers lack another key human component self awareness/reflection and ability to generalize patterns in novel situations to define goals/commands. That is the output for a computer doesn't become new input (normally) and computers need to define each new object in their environment (a box of Wheaties is different than a box of Special K, they are not both part of the set cereal).
There is no consciousness outside of a mind.. whats wrong with people..
