The science has been politically hijacked and the media follows to the point that now no one ordinary punter (sans access to research papers) can make head nor tail of any information.

Yeah because people never start threads with the intention of trolling...

It's like the reasons given for the invasion because the base facts were correct, but then politicians twisted the facts to fit their own agenda.
