Just saying Hello
November 21, 2009 at 5:54 pm
Hey whats up guys, my name is, well you can call me unus i suppose.
hmm, i dont know why im here, actually that is a complete lie. Frankly i like to see
what is on peoples minds in relation to God and things of that nature, you know the big questions.
and i mean lets face it, the atheist forum? how could i resist.
seeing if perhaps i can contribute to a discussion. I have no religious affiliation, i claim no religion.
Nor do i claim any concepts.
I incorporate into my life certain aspects of almost every major religion, ones that have proven
beneficial to me in regards to enhancing my performance in life.
hey take good care alright? haha

Welcome to the forums Unus
May I ask, what your religious views mean? Because it seems to me like they are a contradiction? ("No religion" and "All religion").

I used to have a Supra. Lovely car, in fact more than a car, a member of the family, now sadly moved on to pastures new after a blown head gasket that she bravely endured for over a year, poor Milly. I still think fondley of her even though I now have a lovely new Lexus GS300 called Molly. Some relationships can never be broken!! I'm going to think of her everytime I see your name. But don't worry, I'll be brave.
Now, what's all this irrational nonsense with your religious views?

thanks guys,
at the moment im drunk off of vodka and red b8uull tsoo pardoin the dynstanx.
ah okay where was i,
yes in the mind what appars to be paradox can in fact exist oin perfect harmoney because frankly who can say it is not so? unlless one deems tthat they are not free in thought, in which they are restrained by that which a given society deems true or false.
another words, if i say in mine own mind that it is real than verily it is real, liikewise if i deem trhat it is false than it is verily false.
no argument.
in chrittianity there is the emphasis on prayert, in my own experiance this relates to positive thought
in Islam there is the emphasis on surrender, indeeed surrender to the moment that is uncon ditionend and outside the control of any one individual is parmount.
and in buddhism for examples is the sciencie of the subjective interpretation of the actions of the mind,
to name a few, to 9incoroporate elements of eeach can aid in the skillfiull application of life,
to name a few, ahhah
philliosoplhiues aound as well.
peace

I'm going to fix this into readable english (to the best of my ability) as I go. The [ quote ] tags represent my inference of what you meant. If they are not correct: please clarify
Quote:thanks guys,
at the moment im drunk off of vodka and red bull so pardon the dyslexia.
You probably shouldn't post when you are intoxicated. In future, might I recommend that you drink a great deal of water, and rest... so the poisons will flush out of you.
Quote:<insert light interjection> where was i?
<Insert light affirmation> What appears to be a paradox in the mind... can in fact exist in perfect harmony, because frankly: who can say it is not so? Unless one deems that they are not free in thought, in which they are restrained by that which a given society deems true or false. Did you simply mean: We are free to choose 'right and wrong' for ourselves, regardless of what the greater society deems 'right and wrong'?
In other words, if i think something is real... then it is real. Likewise, if i deem that something is false... than it is false.
No argument. What do you mean by 'no argument'?
I'm going to leave this one to others, for now that I have salvaged this into something more readable: I feel like gouging out my eyes with my fingernails.
Quote:In Christianity: there is an emphasis on prayer, and in my own experiance this is related to positive thought.
Hope is positive... but oh so feeble it is. And how quickly does hope crumble when hit by the gentle breeze of logic. I think a little hope is good, it can keep us sane... but devoting your time to pray? Wasting your precious life to beg upon forces that probably don't exist?
Quote:In Islam: there is the emphasis on surrender, indeed surrender to the moment that is unconditioned and outside the control of any one individual is paramount. I cannot understand how you mean, please restate.
Quote:In Buddhism: There is an emphasis on the science(?) of our own subjective interpretation of the actions of the mind. I also do not understand what you mean by this
Quote:That was just to name a few. To incorporate elements of each <religion?> can aid in the skillful(?) application of life.
To name a few... <insert drunken laughter>.
Philosophically sound as well. I inquire as to what you mean by this?
Peace
kavon
Now we are capable of responding to you in at least some way. By the by, I highly recommend you drink lots of water, and get some rest
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
