I did pick up on the Raphael reference though. Wink

I'm glad you like it! I worked on her face for a very long time.

Symposium is one of my favorite books. For as much as Plato said he despised the arts, I think that book is very much a work of art.

It's interesting that you seem to be a fan of both Plato and the arts. I never quite agreed with Plato on his view of the arts. And I'm assuming you disagree with him there too. I'd love to hear your thoughts on that some time. I've always said that if you don't vehemently disagree with Plato at certain points, you're reading him improperly.

So the Isle server that I normally play on is hosting a Halloween art contest, so I figured why the heck not. There've already been better submissions so I don't stand a chance, but I like how their Nycatyrannus looks >:L

I made an abstract painting but I am not sure what it is. I guess that's how it is with abstract art: people see different things

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

What I see shows I'm a dirty old man  Blush

However, I like it a lot. Great use of colour. What's the medium? Looks more like oil than acrylic, but hard to tell from a photo.

I paint, in acrylic. Won't post any because I still haven't worked out how and because most of them are crap. I have about 5% spread over every room except my bedroom and the bathroom. Do a lot on canvas sheets. Have only been painting about 5 years and have not yet discovered my own style. So very derivative, even direct copies. It matters not; it's a hobby from which I derive great satisfaction. I rarely show others my work, because I know it's rubbish.

I'd call it a Rorschachian and Freudian delight.
