RE: I have just cooked my first pie.
I made a bedtime pot pie. My mother called the basic idea what phonetically sounded like 'PureRock', but which was supposedly a russian dish that I haven't the faintest idea as to how to spell (I never was good at writing cyrillic with english characters, and I can't know if she's saying it right either).

The floor was a much buttered and very nummy pie crust.
The bed was cooked sushi rice.
The first blanket was smoked coho salmon (canned), with green peas spread within.
The second blanket was a cooked sauce that included celery, onion, garlic, chicken broth, the apple cider vinegar/salt/salmon liquid drained from the cans, and a few other miscellaneous ingredients (I was only in part in charge of the sauce).
The bedspread was then the top buttery pie crust. I'll provide pictures tomorrow.

I'm rather delighted with the way it turned out Smile First time I have ever made pie crust, and it turned out very well.

My mouth started watering! And good job Alice, cooking/baking is fun!
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Yes. I can, thus I am also able to write.
Must not have noticed that bit.

My bad.

I tried to make a pie but I couldn't get any woodland critters to cooperate. How'd Snow White do it?

Pie is quite difficult to get just right sometimes. Baking is an art. Kudos Smile

On the newest threads box this thread reads as "I have just cooked m..." and I thought for sure the "m" stood for meth.
