Yeah, I've experienced it and can now see my delusional previous self-delusion through non-delusion and rational spectacles.
But even though what I was, was the very definition of self-delusion, I still don't know for certain that I was delusional or that 'The Secret' was truly BS because I don't believe in absolute knowledge, only in degrees and probabilites, I'm just as close to possibly thinking this is utter BS as possible, while understanding not to take it as Gospel, impose things on others or be dogmatic about it.

RE: Dawkins>Prospect(?)
In broad strokes I agree with Prof. Dawkins, and in the field of evolutionary biology he is second to none. Just read 'The Selfish gene' or the 'The blind watchmaker' and you will know what I mean. On the god delusion there was nothing in there that was new to me, or really inspiring. Certainly the claim "by the time you put this book down you will no longer have doubts" made in a book review about TGD I don't subscribe to. As well as his last series "The genius of Charles Darwin" I was not that impressed to be honest.

When it comes to pragmatic atheism, I would prefer to look at Guy P. Harrison, PZ Meyers, Daniel Dennet, perhaps Sam Harris although I don't hold that much for Buddhism either.

That being said, I do feel Prospect missed the plot on their review. And the claim of Prof. Dawkins being a dogmatic atheist is just ludicrous.
Best regards,
Leo van Miert
