I did watch the One Piece anime for about 40 episodes and stopped for some unfathomable reason. Wolf's Rain was another good anime that I enjoyed, was rather sad towards the ending.

Am I the only one, who doesn't like Death Note? I have the whole manga, but despite starting it plenty of times, I cannot get through it. I'm bored to death with all the "well, if he thinks that I think that he thinks that I think that he thinks that I think..". That schtick gets old fast. The artwork is lovely, but I do not feel anything for the character and nor do I like the story. I find it bloody boring.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Sure, that I haven't done.
I have to ask you all, what was the first manga/anime you read/watched? Mine were 'Hello, Sandybell' (we and some of my friends had them on VHS, so I've actually seen most of it) about 20 years ago. I was introduced a lot later to manga, a classmate of mine borrowed Fushigi Yuugi to me in high school, and after that I was hooked

When I was young, didn't know it at the time, it technically was Sailor Moon. Also pokemon and Digimon. When I was about 13 or 14 it was Wolfs Rain. I then saw a few episodes of Hack//sign until the station stopped showing it. I forgot the shows name so then I went to look for anime to watch(trying to find Hack//sign). It took years form me to find its lol, but I watch tons of other good anime in the process.

The only ones I've ever watched were db, dbz, and dbgt. But that like child's play compared to what you guys are talking about.
I've seen ghost in the shell too.

DBZ was pretty decent, DBGT not so much. I have yet to see Ghost in the Shell but I heard it's really good. We could always recommend you an anime or two, depending on what kind of genre you're into.
