and we get bored easily. Heaven if it exists would be boring we would fall into the same way of thinking of i want this i want that. Screw the iphone

True to an extent, since perception is a state of mind.
"All propaganda must be so popular and on such an intellectual level, that even the most stupid of those toward whom it is directed will understand it... Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and also the other way around, to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise."

Anyone who can ressurect dead threads has a gift!
And I was going to ask Zen Badger where he'd dissapeared to!
Well I guess we have another near death experience to start a thread about haha.
Why isn't earth a paradise? Gee, might be, because given half a chance, the milk of human kindness is the hole between their buttcheeks and it''s contents.
Well the obvious answer would be that everyone is conscious, and has their own ego, then factor in difference of beliefs including political, and the fact that power corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. If you want to bring prayer into it, everyone knows we have free will, and all religions believe in a time where a being that comes to bring war or peace depending, or one before the other. Look at communism for example, was supposed to be perfection, and the government ended up killing millions of their own people in an attempt to eliminate undesirable thoughts from the minds of the people so they look to government to solve their problems. Same with all forms of government, since there is always corruption. Ironically communist governments always ban religion, because they need to eliminate the belief their is a higher power than the nation state, or government, so the people rely on them etc. Not picking on atheists, but ever wonder why communism promotes atheism?
Religious people believe this is a place for all to exist, so how could you have harmony with all points of view?
I don't know if any of you have read info from either of the Huxley brothers.
Not that anyone is interested, here's an interesting book from a commander in the Canadian Navy who used to work with what was called the world revolutionary movement, to bring in their version of utopia.

Heavenly Father, show us the way, Lord. This thread is 2 years old, Lord! 2 years! Let your Light guide your children to the Truth, Oh Lord, and reveal the rules on necroposting to this mofo!....In Jesus' holy name....Amen.
Noobs, please read the fucking rules you agreed to abide by when you signed up!
"Necroposting
Necroposting is not allowed. We consider necroposting to be the act of posting a new reply to a thread which hasn't had any new replies for 30 days or more. A warning notice will appear if you are about to necropost, however you will not be prevented from necroposting due to limitations with the forum software, and also to allow certain exceptions to the rule as outlined below.
Exceptions to this rule are granted by staff on a case by case basis. Usually if the thread is popular and intended to be an ongoing discussion, rather than one related to a specific event, necroposting is allowed. For example, in a thread where members are encouraged to post photos of themselves, necroposting would be allowed, but in a thread which is a discussion about a recent event or news article, necroposting would not be allowed."

I'm just concerned Scoobs linked to a site that frequently appears on FSTDT for the rants of what appears to be the site's main contributor.

Below each thread there is a section called possibly related threads, which is where this one was. Rather than creating another to recreate the wheel I posted on what existed to expand on what was there. Sorry to the mods if that broke the rules.

And...
At the top of each post is an indication of how long ago a post was made. At the end of each page of a thread (full version only) is a red warning banner advising you to start a new discussion rather than digging up the dead ones.
What I use as a rule of thumb:
If the thread is only a few pages, I'll leave it in it's shallow grave. If it's hundreds of pages long and has post going back months or years before the last post date then it'll probably fit the stated exception.
