No Religious people believe in UFO's ...they're not allowed. (Their indoctrination won't allow them!) pretty cool eh?
When I was religious I totally believed in UFOs and ghosts

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

None of that seems to be a problem for skeptics Blade. Those options you mentioned aren't any more in evidence than undead spirits. They all fall to the same axe, for the same reason. The reason that skeptics call bs on ghosts is that we -have- used the scientific method on the subject. It keeps coming up bumpkiss, but people keep making the claims.

Some of my Pentecostal relatives believe UFOs are either piloted by demons or actually are demons.

That's fair enough! I was just curious as to how the deluded mind can incorporate another fantasy without breaking the original...
These Xtians are a very creative lot, aren't they.
If I may, if these demons can go to the trouble of visiting is, why can't the boss pop by to say Hi?

Yeah so I did believe in ghosts as a believer. Nowadays I tend to believe in what can be proven. Because ghosts were so prevalent in my life, I do intend upon going evp hunting myself. Seems fun if anything.
I believed in ghosts as a believer because I believed in demons. Everywhere I went, especially a heathenistic place or somewhere with a lot of history--i believed demons had power or were following people (like the Goth wicca girl at school). I was afraid I could draw the demons attentions. I was afraid that demons could find doorways into your life like if you were sinning and unprotected by god. I had night terror dreams about being stalked by demon possessed objects and being unable to rebuke them.
As for aliens.. I just thought surely the universe is so massive and god so great, that it would be arrogant to not believe in the possibility of aliens.
