Where did I say that I wanted a gun to declare war on the "ENTIRE AMERICAN MILITARY equipped with fighter jets, drones, heat-seaking (sic) missiles, and so on."? Mine's just for home and personal defense.

Nope. The government is not God. Also, we serve God, but the government was formed to serve us.

Isn't that cute? So naive.

But your molon labe suggested you were open to the possibilitibility. And, believe me, it's happened before. Just ask Randy Weaver, David Koresh, and the Montana Freedmen.

Come to think about it, given the history of the phrase, from the Spartans of Thermopylae, the Republic of Texas, and Grigoris Afxentiou, I can't think of anyone who used the phrase who ended up on top.

Did you mean "the Alamo"?

Because the Republic of Texas won that war.

Where did I say I was directly speaking to you?

But did they last? Ten years later and they were part of the US.

Texas wanted to become part of the US. The population was all US immigrants. Everything worked out the way they wanted it to.

I see. So you weren't actually making a blanket statement implying that the reason Conservatives and Tea Partiers want guns is to take on the military and to overthrow the government. Is that what you're saying?...there's also some liberals and libertarians on this very forum who advocate the right to gun ownership as well. So they're not trying to declare war on the "ENTIRE AMERICAN MILITARY" either, is that right too?

90% of conservatives I've ever talked to about gun control say one reason they are against it is because they want to be armed against the government because they believe it's becoming more and more like Nazi Germany here in the states.

Why is it that nobody ever admits to wanting to be one of the oppressors?
Particularly while they are scrambling to amass as much as possible the tools of oppression, e.g. money and influence.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh
