RE: one logical explanation for Materialistic Athiesm?

I skipped most of the thread's pages, sorry....
Has anyone provided one logical explanation for spiritualistic theism, yet?
If not, then I shall remain a "materialistic" atheist... whatever that means...

Perhaps that is the flip side of the "you cannot detect god, he hides in his metaphysical closet" approach. The theist can tuck god into his pocket universe where he cannot be found and insist that he is real even if he cannot be detected. The atheist doesn't believe in god, so we do not have a specific core belief that we can shove out of reach by putting into a metaphysical box that no one can detect.
Then again, it makes a certain sort of sense. It is when I stopped making excuses for a hidden god that I started to search for him in earnest and wound up an atheist.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
