What is it you don't much care for? Did you attend the university? Do you have friends/relatives who have attended BJU?

What is YOUR personal experience with BJU? Because, I have actually had one and that place was the most intolerant, unforgiving, hostile environment I have ever been in. Granted, I've never been to a state prison, but for my own experiences, BJU truly bared the razor sharp teeth of christianity.

Yes I had a friend that went there and when things from this friend were told to me it disturbed me and no BJU does not represent the rest of Christianity. I know you were there we had that conversation which included you dad.
As for the other horse's butts that responded to the previous post to Cin, I know somethings from past post with him, so just stay out of things you do not know about, you all can be more nosy than a gossiping Baptist deacon's wife.

If we were leaving reasonable people to their conversations, where would that leave you? See, when I watch somebody dismiss another's opinion because of an accusation of "bias against christianity," especially when that's like a fucking mantra that the accuser chants to avoid ever having to take dissenting opinion seriously, that doesn't strike me as especially reasonable, GC.

I know that's bullshit in my case. I have a good relationship with my dad (one who ended up becoming an atheist), and he, in turn, has a good relationship with his dad, who's a (former) Catholic deacon.

Cin's relationship with his dad is terrible, unless things have changed recently, you've been around here long enough to know this. Cin and I have had a discussion on this subject and the remark was to Cin only. I hope most atheist have good relationships with there dads, and if they do not it doesn't mean they are any certain way what so ever. However Cin's relationship with his dad is based on religion. So you have me all wrong in this discussion and should consider past discussions before making accusations.

... None of which changes the fact that you blithely disregarded his opinion as misinformation borne of bias... without actually knowing anything about the scenario he was commenting on beyond second hand accounts.

That's the contention, dude: an accusation of bias carries with it a corollary statement that the accused is factually in error because of his supposed bias. Without truly knowing anything about what Cin was commenting on, any accusation of bias you might levy is necessarily incorrect because you have no method by which to measure the extent to which the statements made reflect reality, and hence no way to detect the presence of bias at all.

Given this, it's a rather trivial matter to conclude that this accusation of yours is just another in a long line of dismissive bullshit levied to avoid actual conversation by attacking the character of the speaker. The fact that you cloak it in past discussions doesn't mean we can't see the shit leaking out in other areas.
