It's one thing to think that "I have a penis, but I know I'm supposed to be a girl," and another thing to think "you know what, I'm not comfortable as either male or female, so I've just decided I'm giving up on having a gender." One of them can make sense. I really hope you can understand which one does. This is awfully stupid in my opinion. Just put in whatever gender you identify as. This non-binary is just ridiculous! Get over yourselves & stop playing oppressed. There are people with real gender identity issues (men who are women, women who are men), but you SJW with your "non-binary" are just retarded. If this is the biggest "attention-getting" factor on Facebook, then users have VASTLY curtailed all their posts and complaints. You really won't see it unless you facebook-stalk people's profiles. I don't see any reason why this would be anything other than ignorable. It's people's motherfucking facebook! If they want to call themselves a Dragon, let them. I don't care because it doesn't interfere with me. Slave to the Patriarchy no more

Last time I asked this sort of question about another subject, it boiled down to it annoying the other person because it confused them and they weren't sure how to address the person confusing them. Apparently it's too much work to ask an individual how they would prefer to be referred to. After all, that tips the center of the universe away from the annoyed person - that just can't happen, you know? What bothers me is this is just Facebook figuring out another way to make money from housing your personal information. That's why it's not fill in the blank. Marketing needs clearly defined categories, and Facebook has just given them 56 new categories to play with.
Would you like FB to continue to be free?
Then it needs to be able to run ads. And I, for one, would rather it show relevant ads. |
