No, I'm not fucking joking. Fuck you.
You know what, ego? I used to laugh at you like you're a funny little kid. Now, I think you're as disgusting as this thread, and frankly, I'm nervous for the day your mommy and daddy unleash you onto the rest of the world. I've often heard it argued that rape is worse than murder. As a physical act, it clearly is not. Physically, rape involves a temporary loss of liberty, a risk of pregnancy or disease, and possibly some vaginal tearing or other physical injury, likely minor.
I've received MUCH worse injuries, physically speaking, including having the shit beat out of me by skinheads. We're talking massive concussion, cracked rib, and permanent (minor luckily) eye damage. It took me (and my friend) weeks to (mostly) recover from the beating. Yet many would agree that rape is worse than that. But why?
It is because the VALUES we are raised with result in our world view, and in our sex-obsessed, Victorian-residual culture, create a dangerous world view. Young children, especially girls, are taught that sexual purity is an all-or-nothing state: either you've remained pure, or you are permanently-damaged goods. A bad sexual encounter is seen as a kind of strike against the soul, an attack at the center of one's humanity. But it doesn't really have to be that way-- a changed world view can allow someone to say, "Yeah, someone stuck his dick in me 10 years ago, and fuck him for doing it-- but that's in the past, and right now I'm sitting here enjoying a beautiful sunset with my kids." People can CHOOSE not to be victimized by past events.

Value is subjective.

Depends on the psychological torments employed.
I'm not currently in the market of blanketing all rapes as 'the worst'.

People can choose to not be victimized by past events? This is news to me. Please explain this magical process to me.
Some people suffered little, and time dulled their pain. Some relive the events of rape for the rest of their lives (PTSD, and such).
It's probably not an easy thing to forget (rape worth noting). As with violence and other general traumas.

I can see this view coming from a time where a girl/woman's value was closely tied to whether or not she was a virgin. Nowadays we're more likely to think of men as jerks if they refuse to have anything to do with a woman if she's had sex before. Not that a woman really needs to be with a guy to be successful in the modern age anyway.

Well, the psycho is going to have a bit of trouble getting me to impregnate the girl unless he provides me with a turkey baster.

It's not a magical process. It's a psychological process, based on the interaction between a person's world view, their experiences, and their sense of self. It involves getting down to the core beliefs that cause cognitive dissonance, and being able to re-evaluate the meaning of events that challenge them.
By the way, by "choose," I don't imply any failure in someone who continues to suffer. I'm saying that so long as a person can think about, and redefine, their values and interpretations, they have a chance to reduce that suffering greatly.

Why only these choices? You watch too many movies?
I have yet to see a situation where you only have these two choices?
I choose neither!

I understand hypothetical, but this would never be realistic either.
What situation would have to occur for this to be the only choice? I would make my own choice! Kill all the henchmen!

No need to focus so hard on it being a girl... the OP itself said that if you are a woman, it is a 14 year old boy instead (and you will be carrying his child).
