Please, people say politically incorrect things here all the time. They use gay and racial slurs, support pedophilia, all kinds of shit. You were banned because you were being an asshole. So just don't be an asshole, and you'll be fine.

Sadly, problematic behavior is often invisible to its owner.

And yet I haven't been banned in a couple of years (i think?) Thinking
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

While it is awesome that people donate, that is not exactly true. Tiberius kept the server paid for even before there were donations that made a dent in the cost. I imagine he would continue to do so even if people stopped donating unless the community crumbled. Don't take that as a reason not to donate. I think it is all the more reason to donate.

It wouldn't be fair to do that, in my opinion. Some people cannot afford to donate and they are still equal members. Moreover, the rules already give people chances on most offenses.

Yep, because... that's definitely consistently evident around here. That's why Drich and some of the other christians have been banned because of their support for biblical slavery. After all, we target people for politically incorrect opinions! Rolleyes

You need to take a look around before you start throwing around accusations of being targeted, dude.

Yes, donors can be banned. I'd rather give back the money they donated than compromise the integrity of the rules.

Alternatively, membership could go on being free with donations optional until after a ban. With reinstatement coming at a price. Of course Alice and I might not like that a lot but I suppose we're grandfathered in.

I would certainly be interested in donating to the site. The welcome I have received has been fantastic and I have never been so enamoured by a community as I have by this one.

I shall make the arrangements forthwith.
