Here is a question for you how can you believe the following:
you were created from nothing,
you were naturally selected from monkeys yet there are still monkeys alive today so if they needed to evolve to survive how did the origenal monkeys not die out?same goes for whales and birds and every other animal. How did something crawl onto land and evolve into all these things through selection and changing enviroments. You truely believe that a fish can evolve into a whale and a bat and an elephant? If you answer this by saying the enviroment caused the ones with certain genes survived and thus passed them on to their offspring i laugh at you.How can a fish evolve into an elephant by passing on its genes the same way many other creatures supposedly have done and still exist in the same enviroment?
*bangs head on desk*

...and to think I actually thought we might be able to have a sensible conversation with you on this forum. Seriously dude, perhaps you should research what you want to talk about before you try. Most of us used to be Christians; we've done our research, so you do yours.
Yeah, I understand that its frankly rather pathetic of him. I mean really, its very pathetic, but his 'patheticness' isn't uncommon in the world we live in, I'm afraid. So I can't say he's unusually pathetic. But I understand that he's certainly pathetic.

ok so my last post may have seemed a little bit jumbled because i have not researched evolution so much as i spend most of my time studying the bible but i do know this however that most of the atheists evolutionary theory is based on a giraffe evolving to grow a long neck so it can reach the tall trees to survive by eating them. But answer me this, why is there no fossils of half necked giraffes and the evolutionary chain to them becoming what they are today?and even if it were factual information, have you not considered that it might be the answer to how and not why?

RE: Human for helping others.
The giraffe did not grow a longer neck so that it could reach the leaves. There was a genetic mutation (a birth defect or retrovirus or whatever) that resulted in the sudden appearance of the giraffe. The giraffe was well suited to survive in its environment, and so it was not deselected by natural selection.

There is another example of blind worms in a cave. True story. There are two species that are identical except that one glows in the dark. What is the advantage to glowing in the dark? None. The key is that there is neither an advantage nor a disadvantage to glowing in the dark for such a worm. Thus, both types of worms exist side by side in the same environment, without one of them becoming extinct.

Funnily enough my name's Mike too.
So as Miketheatheist I shall say:

"Hi everyone who has either chosen to believe in the bible or have had it forced upon them by their christian/jewish parents, I would like to share my views and attempt to answer questions that some of you may be wanting answered, as before I reached the age of reason I too was naturally wanting an explanation and when I eventually found what I think is the best possible one,- atleast for now - it started to make sense, and now that I've understood it - even if only in just a bit more detail - to be scientifically proven . All in all I would like you to understand that you have the option to understand what's scientifically proven, rather than to just believe in silly mythical stories that are over two thousand years old."

Please try to understand that this was the path I followed also. I was threatened by death and did not desist from being an atheist. This year GOD Spoke to me and I understood.
The bible contains essential spiritual truths on how you may be saved.

I don't give in to being threatened by death that I'm going to be judged by something that almost certainly doesn't exist however.

Manofgod, what's so special about you that god chose to talk to you?
HuhA man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?

You should understand though that its not us atheist's job to disprove God, its your job to prove him.
If you think its our job to disprove God, ok, try and disprove the Flying Spaghetti Monster or Russell's teapot for example. You can't can you? So the whole thing about atheists having the disprove God and its not your job to prove him, is nonsense.
So, evidence please. And don't give me that "existence is proof of God" bullshit, because its not.
