hock:
Yes it doesn't matter, your bible is clearly wrong when it calls them servants. All the verses in the bible with all the details of how to treat your 'servants' clearly demonstrate that they are slaves. Your entire argument was that there wasn't any slavery because your bible doesn't use the word 'slave'.

Mod hat on.
Nobody is going to get banned for misquoting someone. Please adjust your expectations.
If the quote is not an accurate representation of what was said and the flow of the conversation, then the staff would insist that a correction be made.
In any case, this pissing contest between the two of you needs to stop.

No, he deserves a warning. He intentionally misquoted me in order to ridicule me and make my position seem less tenable. Even Enrico isn't this fucking dishonest, even he doesn't stoop so low.

heh. A mod tells you two that the pissing contest needs to stop. So Huggy puts in his signature the very core of his side of the pissing contest against Bad Wolf.
What a fucking ass. ha
Why is it usually the Christian that's the biggest jerk in the room?

I just got home from work so I haven't gone through everything yet.
Still, you'd think that stopping the pissing contest would include not carrying it around in your signature from here on out. I only see one of the two doing that. Jerk move. And it's the Christian that's doing it.

I can see the confusion here. It's a misunderstanding. I think what Wolfie is trying to say is that "slave" and "servant" mean different things, but just because the bible uses the word "servant" (which I'm not convinced of, but I don't have time to do the research right now, so I'll use it for the sake of argument), doesn't make the people in those positions any less slaves. There are many verses in the Bible which, at the very least, condone slavery- not servitude. Bad Wolf was trying to point out to you, Huggy, that, in the case of the bible, the word "servant" is a misnomer, and the word game started when you started trying to fit the definition of "slave" into the word "servant".
