I love the way they start off by telling us what we say, instead of actually asking. That's just rude.

And instead of simply punishing the two people who actually sinned, he went ahead and skull-fucked ALL OF HUMANITY FOR THE NEXT SIX THOUSAND YEARS. Because that's the actions of a perfect and just being who hates evil. Makes sense.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

However the cause of sin is that he gave us all the greatest gift, free will. We can do what we want, he does not force anything upon our mind. If we choose to live a life of sin, it is our choosing. Man choose sin when Adam and Eve ate from the tree, they, by their own choice brought sin upon the world. God hates sin, but he said evil deeds must be punished, and he cannot go back on his word. So he sent his only son to die for our sins, to show us the price of our sin and to accept his free gift. God hates sin, but it is a product of man because he gave man the ability to do what he wants until death, when he is judged for what he's done. Since all sin, only accepting Christ in your heart can make you acceptant of God's Kingdom. Man choose sin, and God did all he could do to help them be absolved of it without invading their free will.
So atheists, argue over the existant of God all you want, but do not say he cannot exist because evil exists. The bible explains why it exists completely logically.

Death and suffering existed in the world for billions of years before man arrived.

The Bible says the "wages of sin is death." Wrong. The wages of life is death.

Maybe St. Paul meant to write, "the wages of death is sin" because through death we evolved to be "free," gaining the capacity to "choose" harming one another.

Anyway, unless you think living organisms devouring other organisms is something other than cruel (albeit natural), your God still sucks.

The OP is fundamentally flawed from the first premise. here, let me correct it:

Quote:Many atheists say "If God existed, it's evil because it is said in the mythology to have committed and condoned evil acts."

You're very welcome. Still think your 'logic' works?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Did he come back? He didn't come back...
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
