We've seen people using that salute to indoctrinate young boys elsewhere, I seem to recall . . .

Sadly it's legit. In the sense the group exists, not in the sense of any legitimate claim to morality and such.
NOT logic:
1. Claim to have logic
2. Throw a tantrum when asked to present it
3. Claim you've already presented it
4. Repeat step 1

But don't the Boy Scouts already pray and shit? They're pretty frickin' Christian. Not like those godless Girl Scouts.

Yeah, but they are heathen and liberal enough to treat gay kids like human beings. So, they're shit.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Either activity seems to yield the same result.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Boy Scouts is obviously better without them. This is how you weed out the destructive portion of your group.

I don't buy it.

digging around…
The original washington times article: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014.../?page=all
The correction: http://www.washingtontimes.com/multimedi...-081bfjpg/
http://www.mercurynews.com/news/ci_25233...boy-scouts
Seems everyone has the same exact story

The caption for the photo:
Quote: In this Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 photo, Trail Life members move their arms as they sing "Taps" in a circle during a meeting in North Richland Hills, Texas. Trail Life USA, the new Christian-based alternative to the Boy Scouts of America, excludes openly gay members. (LM Otero / AP)

The article that 'muddies the water' according the the progressive populist is http://www.chron.com/news/texas/article/...to-5958241
They have their right hands raised as though they were taking an oath, not a nazi salute… (unless they've changed the photo and are also in on the conspiracy)

No idea what taps is though.

What we're being asked to believe is that the washington times (and the AP?) has uncovered a nazi group of staggeringly large proportions
Quote: It has about 600 units up and running or in the process of registration, executive director Rob Green said. As many as half of those who have expressed interest were not affiliated with the Boy Scouts beforehand, Green said.
and is trying to bury it, bollocks.

RE: I Kept Looking
Taps is a song. It goes, "Day is done, gone the sun, from the lakes, from the hills, from the sky. All is well, safely rest. God is nigh." We used to sing it at the end of every Girl Scout meeting... but without the Nazi salutes.
