I think the more interesting question would be why do most christians believe the bible. Most christians I know have had some form of spiritual experience, or what is termed "a relationship with a risen jesus". Mine has never included a directive that this particular ancient scroll happens to be inerrant.

Ooh I like the topic for the debate. It gets at one of my biggest issues with xtians. (Why the bible?)
Who is this little bitch running around bad mouthing everyone while saying absolutely nothing of substance. If there isn't a hammer-worthy rule he is breaking we need a new rule. Please, someone, put it out of its misery.
