But this is the old Kenneth Kitchen mantra that "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" and it is simply wrong. Absence of evidence is not PROOF of absence but it sure as hell is evidence. The fact that no evidence of a 12th century European city has been discovered on the site of Pittsburgh, Pa is certainly evidence that no such city existed. COULD such a site be found? Anything is possible but it seems highly unlikely. Does that mean we should hold open the possibility that some unknown group of Europeans crossed the Atlantic and built a city in Pennsylvania? No. The idea is outlandish.
Similarly, the only evidence that jesus freaks put forward for their godboy comes from a bunch of self-serving writings which we know have been edited because we have the evidence of the changes. The jews did not write their documents with jesus in mind. They didn't give a shit about him. I'm not really following your line of thinking which seems to indicate that they are some sort of un-indicted co-conspirators. Perhaps you would elaborate?

I am just saying evidence of an individual existing or not existing 2000 years ago lacks credibility and makes you look like a crazy religious freak.
If you want to talk about whole civilizations or thought memes, or bigger things, I am with you, if you want to say the life of brian is not exactly the real story of the historical christ as revealed by time traveling space aliens, I have to back the aliens and examine your evidence. the aliens only have to show me their time travel spaceship.

Depends on the individual, wouldn't you say?
And I'm still not certain what your problem is with the Jews.

No, individuals are largely the same unless you are insane and ascribe special powers to them. ADDED being specific, they all lived and died, they all have tales told about them after their death, they all interacted with the government. It is in fact far more credible that a person was "erased" than they did not exist 2000 years ago from that sort of evidence. Claiming theological evidence and broad philosophical and theological "evidence" supports the non existence of a specific individual makes you the Ken Ham of atheism. I will not support a "this guy never lived" factual display, as your observations are nothing more than observations of inconsistencies and gaps in historical records, nothing more.
My problem with the jews is they are stupid fakes who make everything up just like christians and muslims. They also believe in fairy tales about moses and their history, which are most likely more false than mormon history. If you dont' agree I can't possibly see how you are possibly an atheist and not just an incredibly deceptive jewish theologian.
Are you afraid to criticize jews who believe in their religion, or jews who were raised in their religion, or the jewish tradition, and why treat them differently than substituting christian or scientology or koreshian.

You must be new here. Yes I am new.
I would like to see attacks on jewish theology.
Can you point me to them?

You can search the forum for it using the search feature. I found a few.
Most of us are from the US, the UK, or Australia from what I have seen. Since these countries have more Christians than any other religious groups we tend to attack Christianity the most. It's what we have the most knowledge of and daily experiences with.
We also bash on Muslims because the West has been clashing with Muslim countries quite a bit over the past 13 years.
We don't bash on Jews or Buddhists very much because few of us are deconverts from those belief systems or ever really have to deal with BS from those groups hardly ever.
So you won't find a lot.
Why the interest in Jew bashing, BTW? Why not any interest in telling the Hindus how fucked up their beliefs are?
Honestly, you would probably find a ton of Jew bashing religious or otherwise on any muslim forum that could be found.

"jew bashing"
Ok sorry shalom and please don't let me intrude on this sacred worship of the truth of the mythology of jews.
I am going to worship ra instead.
And seriously do you even have to tell a hindu how fucked their beliefs are, they will tell you themselves. I am hoping to be a cow in the next life, hopefully not one consigned to a veal fattening pen. If I am a worm I hope for lots of good dirt.
And by the way Buddha was a complete stud and way more cool than Christ. He is cooler than gergor mendel seeing DNA way before atoms. If you pray to him or worship him or are his alleged reincarnation, he feels for you and want's me to pass on this message, "sorry dude I tried."

No need to get your panties all up in your dander.
I don't mind bashing on the Jewish religion. I'll bash on any religion. What you got?
Funny story about hindu. One of my brother's buddies joined the Peace Corp and ended up marrying this woman from Nepal. He brought her back to Texas and they were visiting my dad down at his barn. The woman looked out on one of my dad's herds of cattle and said, "One man owns all these cows?"
My dad replied, "Yep. See anyone you recognize?"
haha

back on topic, you "atheists" appear to be trusting in theology (thus either retards or hypocrites), and often make weak self serving arguments, just like theists.
