Healthcare in America

RE: Healthcare in America
Indeed there are millions of people who need help, myself included.

Even though here in Oregon we have the Oregon Health Plan, I cant even get on that unless I am pregnant or elderly, and I am neither.

It would be a poor site to see if this amendment passes. I hope they kill the bill, and bury it.

Oh wait, wrong link, sorry Tongue

I thought of this thread when I saw this.

The interesting part is that MoveOn was found to be owned by George Soros, so it is likely a disinformation client... But them sock puppets are funny!

Wow, long time no post for me. I hope everyone is well.

This whole thing is a mess, its makes me sick. I cant even watch the news anymore because I just get frustrated and aggrivated and everytime I see a republican talk about healthcare I feel like I loose about 50 IQ points. What exactly did they pass on Christmas eve (if anything)?

The Senate version of the the new Healthcare bill. As I understand, the Senate and the House will now merge the bills into one, which they will each vote on again.

The two bills are pretty different though, significantly on the subject of a public health insurance option.

It will be very interesting to see what sort of abomination they come up with and try to pass off as reform. It won't be pretty and there will be protests on all sides.

Amazing how often you decry everything Obama "does" and yet you cannot get it through your fuckin thick head that everything done in this healthcare fiasco is politics as usual. Stop blaming one man - you give far too much credit to his power.

I find it incredibly annoying that Obama-detractors repeat the same slogans, make apocalyptic statements and predictions, and worst of all cannot seem to see similarities between the Obama government and the Bush government, nor the corruption inherent in a two-party system.

Back on topic, the healthcare bill is a loss. There are no controls for keeping premiums from rising ridiculously, and feeds a select few of healthcare providers.
