Ever meet a Catholic who was faithful to their duties?

The problem with religion is that it implies that being a decent human being can only be achieved through following a list of spelled out "rules," dictated by said religion.

And, that's not true. Altruism is a component of evolution, not an invention given to us by religions.

Those buddhists who starve to death and set themselves on fire seem pretty devout. Also muslims in afghanistan are very strict.
As for catholics I met lots of people who pretended to be ones.

Where do you meet your Catholics? In prison?

I'm actually in debt to the Catholic Church because they gave me shelter when I was in need and food and Catholics took me in

I was also in a Catholic Foster Home.
(I used them so I could pay my checks on drugs and alcohol. lol)

I have alot of respect for those Buddhists that are ascetic to the point where they love suffering. Imagine how much more enjoyable life would be if we could love suffering?

If Catholics were Faithful to their duties there would be Mother Teresa of Calcutta's everywhere. Catholics aren't allowed to wear condomns, lust, take contraceptives, not suppose to have unforgiveness, love their enemies, care for those who are in need.

Well over 90% of Catholics are pretenders. Catholic by name and not by deed.

What percentage of Catholics vote for pro-choice politicians? What percentege of Catholics don't commit "mortal sin".

If you guys have the sacrament of confession and the body and blood of Jesus Christ you should be different. Show that the Sacraments actually do you some good.

I was joking. My apologies if it came accross as mockery.

I joke with people (sarcasm)

No, you seem exceptionally virtuous for an atheist that is all but that also shows my ignorance. My apologies. Sad

I'm not virtuous. I just believe in treating people as I'd like to be treated. When someone treats me badly though, I ignore them. It works pretty well thus far. lol

Hard to tell when people are joking online. Thank u, though.

lol, no. I don't even know you, I'm just speaking in generalities...relating more to 'offline' life. But, there have been some I've met over the years online, who are on perma-ignore. :p

Well if I reach your perma-ignore that's my loss not yours lolTongue

As far as the 32 thing I was going to ask you and then I thought no that's a silly question so I just wrote it out that way.

I wasn't calling you silly... silly Tongue

Also, I have a lot of respect for Ghandi. Wish I could be more like Him.

As far as saying you're a weak Atheist, what I meant is that you are not militantly against God or Religion.

The teachings of the Catholic Church is not evil from what I've observed. I'm very angry at some Catholics however and angry at God. God does a poor job of Shepparding His flock! God is rich. He shouldn't walk pass the starving person without feeding them.

He shouldn't walk past a child getting molested, tortured, or murdered and have all the ability to help and choose not to. It doesn't cost God anything to Help. So I struggle with hatred for God.

But I pray I'll get better.
God bless you!
