It's funny how there is absolutely nothing new in the god debate.

Frodo, I know someone who doesn't believe in a god, and never has, and he healed himself. He believed himself healed day and after day, and it happened. Energy and our imaginations doesn't need a god in order to be used to our advantage. RE: Why no miracles anymore?

You're obviously a believer; how're those miracle sightings going for you? Plus, this isn't so much miracle seeking as it is simply observing the absence of said miracles. When asked where they are, you turn around and call us adulterous. How nice of you. So if only the true believers can partake in miracles, why did the armies of Pharaoh witness the parting of the Red Sea? How many of those freed Israeli slaves do you think had true faith in Moses and their god? How many people with only a speck of faith do you think partook of the wine that Jesus turned from water? How many people do you think would have noticed Lazarus suddenly up and waltzing about again after being three-days stone cold dead? Are you suggesting that all those who sought to see the risen Lazarus were a bunch of miracle-seeking adulterous boobs? This. This right here is why you cannot rely on scripture; its words will inevitably fail you as it's myriad authors could not fully anticipate the complexity of the human condition. Miracles of the bible type originate with someone. It is as Frodo said.
Even Moses had a faith failure, he was told to speak to the rock but he struck it, water still came out but his failure kept him out of the land of promise. Dark horse hit on a biblical truth. Jesus said,"Whosoever shall speak to this mountain and command it to be removed, and shall NOT doubt in his heart, but shall believe those things he says shall come to pass- he shall have those things he says". Note Jesus did not say "Believers". He said "Whosoever". At the Tower of Babel, God was recorded as saying,"Nothing they (people) can imagine will be impossible to them". Yeah, the wicked Pharaoh got to see a miracle as he and his entire army were swirling in the depths of the water- kinda hard to swim with armor on. That, and the other miracles were predicated on Moses doing something and God also doing something. Why not today? We do get some here and there. The wonder is there are any at all, given the wall of skepticism, unbelief, secular and satanic attack on all sides, especially in the churches. The notion that all miracles ended with the apostles is a brilliant scheme devised by satan. But hang on guys, you are in the time of the grand finale, and that is always impressive. However, a choice will still need to be made to not follow the devil's messengers, who pose as angels of light. Check out the fruit - not the flash.
Cameras!

Please define what you mean by 'energy'. The body has mechanisms for healing, diseases go into remission, and so on. No need for woo-woo statements like yours.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method. So there is not and has not been for a long time ANYONE on the entire Earth that has the faith and righteousness to invoke any magic from God? Sounds to me like we are overdue for another flood. |
