I was stopping over and wanted an early night (had a crazy early start) so they were kind enough to give me the bedroom. They took the sofa bed in the living room so they could stay up late and watch a dvd. I stay over with them a couple times a month and I love them dearly. I've another good friend who's a Lesbian and I've never met one who hated me. Maybe my, and apparently everyone else here's experience are outliers but we've yet to hear of an inlier.

Oh shit, Jacob, you better check and make sure you haven't grown a vagina or something.
Lemme check....

If lesbians are as friendly to straight males as you fool yourself into believing, then why isn't it commonly known, as it is with gays and straight women?

Seriously?

Your argument is based on "it's commonly known"?

You seem to be the only one who thinks it is!

Out of morbid curiosity, what type of evidence that Lesbian women are friendly with straight men would you expect to find, besides people's personal experience of Lesbian women being friendly with straight men?

You're asking me what evidence you should give? Why are you asking me? Give whatever evidence there is.

If it's such a common thing for lesbians to get on with straight men, in the way that gay men get on with straight women, then there would be evidence of that.

Well, there's the fact that you're the only person on this thread who holds this bizarre belief, that lots of people on this thread have first hand experience to the contrary and the fact that there are a few Lesbians on this forum who are perfectly friendly with gay men and straight men.

I mean, you're bringing no evidence to support your contention besides personal experience. And occams razor may suggest another reason you find Lesbians react badly to men.

Oh and didn't ask what evidence I should give, I asked what TYPE of evidence would satisfy you.

Just so we're all clear, OP...

''Evidence'' doesn't equal you happen to know 5 lesbians and they all hate you.

Indeed. That's evidence of something entirely different. Dodgy

But I suspect we'll find that while his personal experience is evidence, everyone else's is hearsay.

Personal experience? Who said anything about personal experience? If you read what I actually said, I said that never have I observed a lesbian being particularly friendly with straight men, the way that gays are friendly to straight women.

What I'm saying to you is that culturally, it is not common, in fact it's very uncommon, for lesbians to want anything to do with straight men.

If it were, there would be evidence of it. Is there evidence that gays get on well with straight women? Yes.

Is there evidence that lesbians get on with straight men? You tell me, and you show me. If it's true that lesbians get on with straight men to the extent that gays get on with straight women, you show it.

Fuck sake, I just did. More than you offered to the contrary anyway!

For the 4th time, that's pure bollocks. It's entirely common for lesbians to want to have anything to do with straight men. You seem to be the only one who thinks otherwise.

Irrelevant, but just for fun, do share! I want to know what you consider to be evidence.

Ok, don't get your knickers in a twist. What you did was mention that there are some lesbians here and that they get on with straight men, blah blah blah.

That's not what I asked for. I asked for evidence that lesbians being friends with straight men was as common as gays being friends with straight women. Not here on the forum, but in general, out there in the real world.

Now stop deliberately avoiding the issue and give me some evidence.

Evidence meaning something that indicates that it is common.

Oh I give up. I'm going to bed to try to work out why I'm so attractive to lesbians that it makes them get on with me in defiance of this apparent cultural norm.
