God was never discovered by the Scientific Method. He/she/it/they was conjured up in peoples' imagination.

So if God's doing is totally opposite from science, then yes, God is something that is magical. Theists also claim God's existence is impossible to prove with materialist science. As Aron Ra once claimed: If you can't show it, you don't know it.

As Clarke said, Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Christians learned their lessons about weather, earthquakes, and disease; these temper tantrums of an angry god are actually just physical phenomena that we now understand quite well.

That's why they almost always insist on placing the goal posts in supernatural territory, because the supernatural, by definition, cannot be examined, tested or in any way independently verified. It's a safe zone, from which they can rest assured that science can't invalidate their beliefs. Their appeals to the supernatural are a dishonest attempt to subvert Clarke's Third Law.
