Who Wants to Live Forever?

Personally I agree with chucks requirements, except my purpose would be different. I'd like to travel time as well as space, namely because I've always wondered what a dinosaur would taste like. See I imagine if I was immortal my motives would be even more screwed up then they are now. I may end like a character from hitch hikers guide to the galaxy and build a restaurant at the end of time.. To quote a certain Lord Tyrion "Death is final, where as life is full of possibilities."

I would hate living forever. It would be kinda a lonely experience. I'd like to live maybe one or two lifetimes, but not forever, that sounds dreadful.
I've learned something from science fiction: the idea of wanting to live forever in itself can sound pleasurable, but actually living it out would be very scaring. Seeing all the people you love die, etc.

Just my two cents there.

Would I want eternal life if it was granted to me? Most assuredly.

i believe some of the people who write about immortality, and the negatives that are attributed to eternal life, honestly have limited their imaginations for the sake of a rather dismal plot.

hmmmmm. I don't think so.

Take 10 billion years and multiply it times a trillion years and then multiply that by 100 trillion years and then realize that that is like the very first SECOND of eternity. No thanks. You can have forever.

I thought I had seen this discussion somewhere, but...no. Life is infinitely fascinating, but various infrastructural questions would need answered before I could see living even one more lifetime.
