Good question. He made man in his image, so I imagine he does. God does get almost forgotten in the narrative a way into the OT, playing only bit parts as the main crusader-in-favour's bitch. I think we know what he was doing during those periods.

God isn't universally potent however.

Well things would get complicated when you start adding a demi-God version of every creature. Insects are enough of a pain in the ass even before getting super powers.
