XMen: Days of future past review
I just go back from watching it and is good, and well worth the Money. There are some continuity errors, none which are explained, but it does not retract from the Film, Its ties in the previous films well (a few errors again) but overall its a good film and the Story is complex and complicated its the best since X2 and in its own well nuilfiys the old cannon by created a new one. I want to watch it again its that deep.

I would give a 7 overall when considering the franchise, An 8 if stand alone.

Believe me, you want to see this on the big screen, in fact, I might (if I have the money) go back and see it again there was that much going on. This has to be the best of all of them.

I recently had an X-Men comic book nerd tell me that the continuity problems are because the comics were written with the same characters, but with different time lines. And that this X-Men movie was on a different time line than the previous series. She said that's why in the movie series Professor X and Magneto are still allies when they first meet Jean, but in X-Men: First Class they split long before they meet Jean. I don't know though, I'm just going off what she told me. Either way though I still wanna see the movie.

Well i have heard that but and this is a big but, DoFP ties all of the films together so they may need to explain this in X-Men: Apocalypse. But please go an see it.

It was a good watch. Smile I think the only continuity error was Xavier being alive prior to the timeline change.

Well, that did not bug me because at the end of X-3 we think we see Xavier after the credits. William Stryker is actually the only big mistake in the movie I saw. In X-Men Origins: Wolverine we see William Stryker with Wolverine and gang in Vietnam, and in this one we see him after Vietnam and Stryker doesn't seem to even know who he is, not to mention it's a different actor. Maybe this will be cleaned up, but something tells me it was a mistake that was allowed to slide.

I don't know why but I'm always on the verge of tears when I see these films.

And I love how they merge fucking spectacular special effects with a good story line.

Magneto is easily my favorite character and seeing him rip up that football stadium and jump on that speeding train was so fuckin good.

I liked that really fast character too, ALTHOUGH I did wonder why they didn't take him with them, having his powers is pretty much a way to get out of any problem.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Saw it last night in 3d (I usually hate 3d but I think this was pretty understated and didn't rape my eyes. Unlike, say, anything by Michael Bay).

My verdict is that I really actually enjoyed this film. That last 3 (the wolverine ones and the first class ones) have been, IMHO, pretty poor, although I do I like fassbender as magneto and McAvoy as Prof X.

I thought Jennifer Lawrence was pretty amazing (not to mention fucking gorgeous in that mystique get up), and I thought the story line did really well to solve plot holes raised by the previous films (which have all been overcome through the whole timeline plots - which also weren't too confusing). There are some oddities remaining (as stated in the OP), but they don't detract from the film.

I'd recommend it wholly, and I look forward to the finale in X-men apocalypse which I believe will be introducing my favorite baddy mutant.
