Qatar tells female tourists what not to...

Note to self: Don't visit Qatar (not that I had any plans to visit any of these dumps anyway . . .)

And meanwhile, I'd be pretty certain the ruling class, despite the decrees, edicts, and strictures, is pretty much doing whatever they want behind closed doors.
Quote:Men wearing shorts and singlets in public will be frowned upon That's better than throwing rocks at them. Qatar must be one of the more "moderate" states!
No kissing? yeah thats gonna improve the tourism.
Arabs force you to dress like them in their country it's an act of respect. But if you remove a hijab of a woman in any other country for whatever reason whatsoever and you are a monster (May 29, 2014 at 12:34 am)Zidneya Wrote: Arabs force you to dress like them in their country it's an act of respect.Yup. Double-standard alert: we can tell you what to wear, so you don't cause me offense, but you can't tell me what to wear, so you don't cause me offense.
Sum ergo sum
I don't see why this is a big deal this type of thing happens in so many other places in the world already. Mainly in Muslim and Jewish places.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. |
