Who is going to risk his life for a country that most of them don't believe in?

Why would a hodge podge of tribesmen believe in any country whose borders are drawn for the convenience of transient overlords in London and Paris 95 years ago, without regard to geography, ethnicity and religious affliation, and without any common history they can feel proud to be part of?

Saddam Hussain was making a country out of Iraq. We were but adding superficial trappings of a state on a substrate of desert tribes. Now wonder our state of Iraq caved like sand castles.

I think I have a solution for us and Iraq. Kick the shiites out and move them to Iran, move the Sunnies to Saudi Arabia. Ship Perry and the teaparty members to Iraq and give them the country. They can have all the oil they want, all the war they want, and they will live close to Jerusalem. Win win solution.
