What advice would you give to your younger self?

RE: What advice would you give to your younger self?

Good advice is often a doubtful remedy, but generally not dangerous because it has so little effect......

Apply yourself, and be accepting of personal change. It's the only way you can grow.

Understand what you can change, and work to change it. Understand what you cannot change, and minimize your worry over it.

The key to happiness is forgiveness. Forgive those who wrong you; ask forgiveness from those you've wronged. Nurturing grudges never works, and anger is a corrosive emotion.

Do not lie, cheat, or steal; do not tolerate those who do.

Buy more Intel earlier.

Money can't buy you happiness, but you can rent it.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

When she asks "Don't you think this feels rushed?" don't fucking go along with it! Tell her "No, it feels like the most natural thing in the world."

No, not about sex (at least, not directly).

Starting at age 4 teach yourself how to pitch left handed. That way you can make millions of dollars doing 15-20 minutes of work every other day for half the year as long as you have a pulse.

Oh yeah, when its time to go to school; study something you're passionate about and not what you think will make you the most money after you graduate.

This one I just made up:

We all lie, cheat, and steal.
Don't cheat yourself, lie to yourself, or steal from yourself and you wont do that to others.

This one I learned from Violet Lilly Blossom:

Everything in this world is bought. Just depends upon the price.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

1985 - I should have kept writing computer programs.
(My teachers were right - it's the future)

1995 - I should not have married my second wife.
(She's a mean and nasty person))
