Additionally, the idea of Hell or other punishment for not worshipping God is also incompatible with free will, insofar as it coerces a choice. Any Chritsitian defending fre will who believes in Hell must also vote to acquit the armed robber, on the grounds that his victim surrendered his money of his own volition.
That's like the mob boss analogy. I hold a gun to your head and say "Give me $100 or I'll shoot you". You cannot give me the 100$, I shoot you. "Man, why did you choose to make me shoot you, silly?"
