Hey come on, there's so much overwhelming contrary evidence, he doesn't know where to start... how can we be so unreasonable as to ask him do do all the work?

I already posted it on this thread and it was discussed for a couple pages on how scientists have made numerous mistakes on their claims for evolution, mistakes that are still believed to be true by the masses to this day.

Mistakes in claims for evolution, even if made by scientists in the field, are not contrary evidence in favour of ID/creationism or whatever you're selling.

I believe I already stated I believed in evolution....I just also know about the evidence that points in contrary to the claims that have been made as well.

nope. I have faith in my ability to read and understand data. If your god did it, it seems he did it through evolution.

Here's the thing though: the masses aren't the indicator of the state of evolutionary theory. There is a lot of misinformation out there about evolution, some spread deliberately, some just your usual cultural noise, but I'm willing to bet that the people who discovered those mistakes were also scientists working in the field. And I doubt that those mistakes are known and accepted as such by mainstream science, and yet still published as factual.
But in a world in which we're still having to deal with "it's still a theory!" and "If people came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?!" we simply can't blame evolutionary theory for the amount of misinformation out there about it.
