My family is natural, but yours isn't.

My family is natural, but yours isn't.
Quote:The United Nations put a damper on "gay pride" festivities last Thursday when it re-affirmed that the natural family is the fundamental unit of society.

The Human Rights Council adopted a resolution on "Protection of the Family" with a traditional definition of the family last Thursday, even as revelers readied themselves to celebrate gay pride weekend. It recognizes the importance of the family for society and individuals, and that countries must strengthen and protect the family.

The resolution not only echoes language from the U.N.'s Universal Declaration of Human Rights about the family as the "natural and fundamental unit of society," it also states that the family is the "natural environment" for the education and development of children.

I'll continue to sit by the sidelines laughing at the fact that there is no such as a natural environment in which a child is guaranteed to be raised properly.

What the UN is protecting the traditional family in detriment of gay couples? Aren't the UN supporters of the LGBT community? What the hell is this?

There is nothing wrong in preserving the traditional family but still, I don't think such institution is threatened.

Actually, there is a "natural" environment for kids to be raised in. Unfortunately, the results usually leave much to be desired.

Of course, while I can't find any info on the new resolution, I know that Article 16, part 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights says this: "The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State."

Trying to look for the dues the US is obligated to pay, but has been deadbeating since the Reagan administration.
