The question ought to be,"Which one?"
A couple of his quotes reveal his stance:
America is not a Christian nation.
Islam has always been a part of America.
Both of those statements are factual and correct, and I don't believe in any gods.

*sigh*
Seriously, there are a few sane Christians out there that realize that we are a nation with a majority of Christian with a constitution that provides that we are not a Christian nation.
Secularism is not atheism though atheists are inevitably secular.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

I think he could very well be an Atheist based on his history and writings, especially since you can't be an Atheist to be in a strong political position without believing in some sky daddy malarkey.
But like someone else has said, I'm glad he hasn't come out as an Atheist because right-wingers hated him before he even got int office.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

Hahah oh you absolute nut case!
Obama is a muslim didn't you know, his middle name is Hussain, what more proof do you need? And where exactly was he during the events of 911! We'll have more details on 'The truth revealed' after the break.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

Obama, and quite a few other politicians view God as a competitor. It is not a good idea to be public with that sentiment.

He's been going to Christian churches since he was a boy.

Both correct.
America is a secular nation with a majority Christian population. It is not a Christian nation. You might actually want to read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Islam has always been part of America.

Here's the Treaty of Tripoli (the capitol of a Muslim nation), written in 1796 under George Washington and ratified under President Adams.
"The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense founded on the Christian religion"
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

He belongs to the United Church of Christ and has for decades, so ti's pretty obvious unless you're a conspiracy nut.
It's factual that we are not a Christian nation and never have been: we are a Christian country because Christianity is the majority religion, but we are not a Christian nation because Christianity, nor any other religion, is the official religion of the USA.
Muslims have been here since before the Declaration of Independence, so that is factual as well.
Though I might judge differently were I to base my opinion solely on your example, Christianity doesn't require one to believe things that are demonstrably false.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I am sorry, I did not mean to say this is a Christian nation or ever has been.
You are right. This is a secular place.
I was quoting O to show his stance.
He always elevates Islam, he stated the call to prayer of Muslims (the blaring horns from the minaret) is the prettiest sound he ever heard. (You have got to be kidding)
He has forbid Christian actions in the military and never says anything good about Christianity or Christians- only Islam gets that.
Yes, Islam and the U.S goes back a long way.
The very first war this country had as a nation was with Muslim pirates.
An old U.S. war song includes the lyrics; "From the shores of Tripoli..." was about that one.
The "Church" he attended until his leader got too hot to handle is a Black revolutionary establishment as akin to Christianity as a mosque.
O observes Ramadan, not Christmas.
Why would he? He was registered as a Muslim on the one document I am aware of, and which he released, which was genuine- a grade school record from Indonesia. A Catholic school which he could have gone to as a Catholic, yet attended as a Muslim.
One of the youtube vids that I put in my favorite list there, is by a NON Christian.
It is called- Phil Valentine on Obama (pts. 1 and 2. )
Phil does a taped presentation before a black audience of which he is a leader of some kind.
Phil seems to be annoyed that O has usurped the position of Malcolm X whom he admired greatly.
Phil asks the question- "Who is this ______?" to a sympathetic audience.
Their responses are noteworthy.
