No, she refused to date at least 3 or 4 guys because of zodiac signs, and since she was a very vocal person I don't doubt she'd tell him to go fuck himself if she thought he was an asshole. It's just zodiac, really...

Pssh, what a typical Scorpio...

Are you guys saying that my life source energy crystals are a bunch of hokum?

They can't be. The woman who sold them to me was totally a legit life source energy crystal saleswoman. She was registered with the order of pendragon and the eternal mystics society.

If we can't trust these bodies, then who can we trust??

Was that a family guy joke?

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

No?

I just wrote it on the train. If it is then I've plagiarised accidentally and without knowledge! Sad

Are theists more likely to believe in pseudoscience because of their religious beliefs, or are they kind of isolated in their own irrational bubble against it? Could also be no correlation at all, seeing as my sample size is pretty limited to my experience, but it would be interesting to explore.

Anecdotally speaking:

Most people I know that were most likely to get into the type of woo you mentioned were all Wiccan. One has since become somewhat of a pantheist.

Most atheists I know aren't really into much of anything supernatural.

Back in my bitchier days I made a hobby of busting the more scammy of these people's chops. I'd convince them I was skeptical but interested and get them all hopped up on their own self-delusions and then call them on all the bullshit at the height of their confidence.

Nowadays I show people examples like this:

The simpler the better because it's less likely to cause that knee jerk reaction to plug their ears and ignore it. Bill Nye is awesome for this.

The only difference between belief in God and belief in Santa Claus is that eventually people stop telling you Santa Claus is real.

RE: Atheism/Theism and Pseudoscience
Maybe in Texas, but out here in California people love to mix new age bullshit with old age religious bullshit. A type of intellectual flubber I would call it, the believers mind takes many shapes.

Like any philosophy, just like all Christians are not created equal, neither are all atheists created equal. Anyone has the liberty to sprinkle superstition anywhere they like. For example, I love the idea of karma, though I will never believe in the validity of it, I will sometimes fallaciously use it in conversation.

It's like some atheists believe in big foot or don't believe in evolution or climate change. "People are people, so what should it be?" so goes the famous song.
"Just call me Bruce Wayne. I'd rather be Batman."
