Trying to save people

A chemical reaction that creates emotions and thoughts and feelings so powerful in our minds (a place that technically doesn't even exist), what could be more awesome than that?

MDMA is pretty damn cool in a similar respect.

The way it works really is cool. I've never tried it and I don't plan to but thinking about that kind of stuff is cool to me. Things like love are cooler IMO because they just happen naturally and you don't have to take anything to induce the effects.

Some of us have to take things to reduce the effects of the effects...
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I know what I'd far rather take...

I agree with you regarding what you find false but disagree with what you think true.

In other words, they are making the statement that they are above God and don't need Him to get into Heaven. To atheists this means nothing but to "Christians", this way of thinking is blasphemy - the WORST offense that a Christian can make.

I would think the worst sort of blasphemy would be to think you understand the mind of god or know the bible is the word of god or that He intended for you to read it literally. Every attempt to reduce the mystery of god to doctrine may be a blasphemy for all we know. Perhaps even to anthropomorphize god is a major put down from His point of view. Could be.

Fantastic point. Thinking that an actual God, capable of creating the entire universe from nothing, could be summarized in a couple hundred pages of text seems almost as ridiculous as thinking such an entity could exist.

Because all theists are Christians...
You dont very often see atheists comlaining about other groups because most of them don't try to force every one to think like them

You're from America, aren't you?
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
