LOL TW that is an even better analogy than the one I used.
PR said: "All congratz to fr0d0 who just singlehandedly debunked theology."
Christians tend to do that inadvertently from time to time lol.

Oh you mean laugh tracks like the ones used on most television sitcoms fr0d0 complete with a recorded studio audience. That should truly accompany any audio bibles it would make that boring mess a little more entertaining.

It's a shared experience until one decides they aren't as commited as the other and at which point one might attempt to maintain the other's illusion through a sort of emotional lie.

Well there can be evidence of God as in, what is indication to the believer that God exists. Whether it's actually valid, proper, evidence is another matter. I thought that evidence itself, even if it's invalid - is what starbucks was speaking of and not just valid evidence.
The evidence of the two people loving each other could be false. And it could have NOT been evidence to all the outsiders, they could all think the relationship was bullshit, and then the two people broke up - so the outsiders were right. But they still believed in what they thought was evidence of the others love. They didn't just depend on blind trust - faith - they each genuinely thought that their partner was giving signs, clues, evidence - with body language and with words or whatever - that they really loved the other one. And yet, the whole thing turned out to be a farce, for instance.

Despite the fact that a christians alleged relationship with their god is entirely subjective, I also think that to those deeply committed there is also a psycho-emotional response to their beliefs which accounts for all of the feelings of closeness to the divine. I agree with Starbucks when he stated that there is no evidence for the existence of god, no valid evidence at least.
I personally am not too fond of making real world comaparisons to the divine since they are two entirely unrelated subjects and don't coincide with one another.
