Cruel or malicious jokes are reflective more of the person making them than the target of their jest.

You can't be gay in the US

Do gay people get offended at this? - These expressions are so deeply recorded in society that it's hard to let them go away I like jokes that are funny. I like dark humor. I think context is important. Like if it's a joke thread then you know people are joking and it's funny. Or if it's a comedy show then yea. If it's a funeral maybe not, but I'd still have a hard time not finding it amusing if the joke is legitimately funny. My sister says "that's so gay" when she thinks something is stupid or lame all the time, she's a lesbian, I'm pretty sure she's not offended by it. RE: You can't be gay in the US

Jokes are jokes. It's the context you have to pay attention to. And even then there's no telling what a joke means to each individual person. Sure, some people may take them as cruel or insensitive, but others need them to get by. It's common for people use comedy as a coping mechanism. If you don't want to hear it or don't need to hear it, it's as simple as not paying a comedian large amounts of money to attend a show. Or logging off.
If that bumper sticker gets made can I suggest losing the backslash? Don't put dicks in your mouthbutt. Baaahaha I'm still laughing about it! What the fucks a mouthbutt?!
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay." For context, this is the previous verse: "Hi Jesus" -robvalue RE: You can't be gay in the US

Mouthbutt. Heh.
"Yes, I am a Free Lover. I have an inalienable, constitutional and natural right to love whom I may, to love as long or as short a period as I can; to change that love every day if I please, and with that right neither you nor any law you can frame have any right to interfere. And I have the further right to demand a free and unrestricted exercise of that right, and it is your duty not only to accord it, but as a community, to see I am protected in it. I trust that I am fully understood, for I mean just that, and nothing else."

Gay people telling gay jokes, black people calling each other the 'n' word, that's all OK. It's when others do it with malicious intent or even without thinking that it becomes insulting. The best thing would be to stay away from it. RE: You can't be gay in the US
