Even if you disagree with some of them happening soon (or ever), this video at least inspires optimism for me about the future. Video by HybridLibrarian.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.
This is why science is superior to faith.

True, its completely useless and has always tried to halt scientific advancement.

Yeah, but science can't promise you an afterlife, now can it!
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear. 
Oh, come on now: faith invented torturing and killing folks for their professions of belief, and even non-belief. That's gotta count for something.
The answer to the final question in this video will be the answered by to whom all of these technologies will be made avaiable, to whom they will not be.
In short the future you see here isn't for everyone. It's only for those who can afford it. That is unless you think a premium will not be placed on getting the opportunity to bathe in the fountain of youth..
New technologies are always expensive at first, but usually the prices level out over time the more available they become.

As the technology is improved and becomes easier to mass-produce, prices come down and it becomes more widespread and available to more income classes.
