"The future's 10 Mind-blowing technologies about to emerge"

"The future's 10 Mind-blowing technologies about to emerge"
Even if you disagree with some of them happening soon (or ever), this video at least inspires optimism for me about the future. Video by HybridLibrarian.

If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

It's not as if faith could ever have even been in the running.

Yeah, but science can't promise you an afterlife, now can it!

Oh, come on now: faith invented torturing and killing folks for their professions of belief, and even non-belief. That's gotta count for something.

The answer to the final question in this video will be the answered by to whom all of these technologies will be made avaiable, to whom they will not be.

In short the future you see here isn't for everyone. It's only for those who can afford it. That is unless you think a premium will not be placed on getting the opportunity to bathe in the fountain of youth..

New technologies are always expensive at first, but usually the prices level out over time the more available they become.

Freezing your head in a vat of liquid helium seem to offer the only even slightly credible prospect of a life after death that had ever yet been conceived up to now.
That's more scienceish than religionish.

This. Most technologies are expensive at first, as the inventors and investors seek to recover development costs and as supply is low at first. As the technology is improved and becomes easier to mass-produce, prices come down and it becomes more widespread and available to more income classes.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
