I thought my post about last night's talk with Wifey might at least amuse one a little.
I struck out again??

Regarding the rock band, I was so pissed off at their inconsideration (they could not bend one iota to a simple modification to bring a modicum of peace to the neighborhood (which every drummer knows about) that I let them have it.
Whether for good or bad, anger can be a powerful motivator.

Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it withered immediately- you think no one owned that tree?
Maybe Maybe not.
It WAS a prophecy to Israel (the fig tree was Israel and it was supposed to have fruit on it. Fruit is something good. The curse was a picture of the retribution that fell because of both not producing fruit and rejecting the promised Messiah)
I guess I better shut up here.

One could be so evidently insane that examples of his behaving somewhat normally is much more creepy than it is reassuring.

This means he's at least a 5th level cleric. He can also blind people, inflict serious woulds, and even animate the dead. We should probably be more polite to him.

Ah at this point the government should just declare a "Annual National Rapture (doomsday for non muricans, Day-Z for nerds) Day" to keep everyone happy.
We already get about 2-3 doomsday predictions per year any way, at least with a dedicated day I'll only have to deal with the hell threats on weekends.

It's too bad we won't see him after the 25th. I already miss him.

The calendar will read "Rapture Day (observed)".

ShaMan, I was laughing going over the posts until I got to your 3 words above.
Brilliant. Worth thinking about.

So which of us is sub-normal and which super-normal?

'Normal' is usually in the middle.

Besides which:

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Eney: OK, I'll tell them you'll only be crying for a couple of days, maybe only 24 hours, then you'll be fine".
Me: "No, never mind- leave that computer alone"

Please don't tell us what you suddenly remembered was on the monitor.
