Prof,
You don't crank me up hun. You do make me want to throw pillows of science at your face. ![]() Luckie
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. ![]() (October 1, 2014 at 1:58 pm)little_monkey Wrote: I want an answer: did rapture occur on the 25th, or whatever date it was supposed to happen? Yes it did and all the true believers vanished. Apparently there weren't any. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis. The prof making sexual innuendos...hmm...he's so sweet and innocent it's like a child making a sexual innuendo. So I'd say bad wrong.
Take out the words 'sweet' and 'innocent' and I might agree with the assessment.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Rather more accurate than mean, I fancy.
