Some years back there was a great board known as Connecticut Valley Atheists, (CVA), we have a few other refugees from there around here.
It was an example of what happens when the modding team did not keep on top of the trolls and spammers. Eventually, 50 Russian language viagra ads a day drove away most of the posters and the board died.

So, yes. The team does a fantastic job chasing away the lunatics.
