Is nihilism the logical extreme of atheism?
RE: Is nihilism the logical extreme of atheism?
Forgive the bad formatting, posting from a phone.

You said
Quote:Good is what God has to be to be a creative singularity

Which is a flat assertion of what the preconditions of a creative singularity are, not to mention the supposition that singularities can be creative.

Also, that's not a theory, is a handful of guesses that can't be falsified or tested or examined.

Like I said fatty, I'd love to hear your defence of a self destructive or non creative creative singularity. In my mind that is completely contradictory, on a very basic level. You can't just keep saying "oh no it isn't" without offering some alternate proposition.

It's not a precondition. If it was then this isn't that singularity. Something came before.

If you can't be god without being good, I think I can safely say that Yahweh is not god.

Uh, actually I can. I can point at bullshit and call it what it is. The existence of and character of God are questions that I don't have an answer for. That's why I don't claim to have answer. I'm not arguing for anything, I'm saying your argument is circular, arbitrary and hopelessly flawed.

Yet the Jews defined him as that, and wrote their religious texts about a good God. You look at those texts and say, ooh, that looks like it hurt, and conclude that God isn't good. I say you misunderstand.

Yes you keep saying it. But you continually fail to back it up. There's a simple problem for you to address up there ^^, yet you're silent.

I'm not saying that you're opinion is flawed. I'm simply asking for a rational argument from you. In sure you wouldn't want me to change my thoughts without good reason. Or is that how you came to your opinions?

At this point I'm not even sure what you're trying to argue Frodo. It's a giant mishmash of presuppositions and circular reasoning. Congratulations pigeon, you've shat all over the chessboard, call it a victory if you like.
