Child dies in hot car while parent is in choir practice

Child dies in hot car while parent is in choir practice
A truly horrifying story about a three year old boy who died in a hot car in Arizona while the mother finished her choir practice. I feel terrible for the people involved, but is anyone in the congregation going to question how this was part of god's plan? I can't imagine what next Sunday's church service is going to look like.

I would assume to bring awareness to the fact that a child died in a hot car while his guardian was at choir practice?

Aw, you spoiled the ending now! I wanted to work it out myself from the clues in the title!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Why didn't 'jesus' roll down the window? After all, they were inside singing to him. Surely all that racket must have woken him up?

Sometimes I hear stories about children and pets suffocating in hot cars. You'd think it would be obvious to people that it can get really hot in a closed space out in the sun. Have you not gone to work for hours with your vehicle in the sun with the windows open, and stepped in to feel this oppressive heat within? I remember one really hot summer day doing this, and I had to jump back out of the car.

This should be basic stuff that shouldn't happen, yet there are still stories like this. And in Arizona? One of the hottest states in the country? There is no excuse.

I can't believe you're in Tahoe. That's only a 5 hour drive from my place Big Grin

Perhaps. What do you conclude from a second glance?
